Today, September 13, President Xi Jinping signed a presidential decree awarding Wang Zhenyi—former President of Shanghai Second Medical University (now Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine), former Director of the Shanghai Institute of Hematology, lifelong Professor at Ruijin Hospital, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and recipient of the State Supreme Science and Technology Award—the Medal of the Republic.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Academician Wang Zhenyi and pay our highest tribute to him; the Medal of the Republic represents the supreme honor bestowed in recognition of your outstanding contributions!
At the same time, we also express our joyful admiration that the only two medical giants to have received the Medal of the Republic—Academicians Zhong Nanshan and Wang Zhenyi—have both expressed recognition and high regard for hydrogen-oxygen medicine.
