Hydrogen-Oxygen Mechanisms

Hydrogen molecules act as selective antioxidants by neutralizing reactive oxygen species (ROS), such as hydroxyl radicals (•OH) and peroxynitrite anions (ONOO⁻), converting them into harmless water molecules through redox reactions.

Following the elimination of harmful free radicals, cellular viability and physiological homeostasis may be restored. Improved cellular function has been shown to support the recovery of various organ systems, with progressive benefits observable in clinical biochemical markers over time.

The physiologically acceptable oxygen concentration for human inhalation typically ranges between 20% and 40%. Prolonged exposure to oxygen levels exceeding 40% for more than 24 hours may pose health risks due to oxygen toxicity. Key Biological Properties of Hydrogen-Oxygen Therapy
