To this day,with the advancement of modern medicine,"cancer"remains one of the most challenging problems for humanity to overcome.Among current treatment methods,none have been found that can effectively balance both efficacy and safety.Current main cancer therapies include:surgical resection,radiation therapy to eliminate cancer cells,chemotherapy drugs to kill cancer cells,targeted drug therapy,and immunotherapy,among others.However,aside from a few drugs that are highly effective in specific situations,most cancer treatment methods are not very effective and carry potential risks of certain toxic side effects.

With the continuous development of global hydrogen-oxygen medicine,hydrogen-oxygen has been regarded as a promising adjuvant therapy for cancer in recent years.The abilities of hydrogen molecules in anti-proliferation,anti-oxidation,promoting cancer cell apoptosis,and anti-tumor have been successively discovered by international researchers.Medical researchers in Malaysia conducted a comprehensive search through international networks and journal websites,summarizing the medical research breakthroughs in hydrogen-oxygen medicine in the field of oncology over the past decade.They highlighted the most representative studies and compiled them into the following table.[1]

According to the statistics in this article,current research on hydrogen-oxygen medicine in combating cancer demonstrates that hydrogen-oxygen can reduce tumor growth,increase cancer cell apoptosis rates,and improve patients'quality of life,such as breathing,appetite,and physical fitness.Internationally,the concentrations of hydrogen-oxygen used vary,but based on this article's survey of all papers,the most commonly used,mainstream,and largest clinical-scale concentration is 66.6%hydrogen+33.3%oxygen,with the device used being a hydrogen-oxygen nebulizer.

The article points out:Through comparison,inhaling high-concentration hydrogen-oxygen is the fastest and most direct method to increase hydrogen concentration in human tissues.[2]

Compared to other concentrations,studies on inhalation of 66.6%hydrogen+33.3%oxygen have found that high-concentration hydrogen-oxygen inhalation can act on specific protein expressions such as lncRNA,MALAT1,and EZH2,thereby inhibiting the proliferation and migration of cancer cells MGC-083 and BGC-823[3].lncRNA and MALAT1 are regarded as related proteins and contributors to the chemoresistance of cancer cells to cisplatin(DDP)and oxaliplatin(OXA).EZH2 stimulates the overexpression of tumor protein P53.These are potential targets for hydrogen molecules,which can inhibit the overexpression of EZH2,thereby suppressing lncRNA and MALAT1,while upregulating miRNA-124-2p to inhibit cancer proliferation and migration[4].

Furthermore,these experiments included both independent hydrogen-oxygen inhalation trials and combined trials where hydrogen-oxygen was administered alongside other anticancer drugs.For instance,in-depth studies on gastrointestinal and respiratory system-related cancers encompassed both independent hydrogen-oxygen experiments and combination experiments.This indicates that:Hydrogen-oxygen inhalation is safe and does not react with drugs to affect their efficacy.

Numerous studies have shown that hydrogen-oxygen can reduce the severity of various cancers.Compared to the control group,the hydrogen-oxygen inhalation group exhibited well-inhibited levels of oxidative stress and inflammation.In animal models,hydrogen-oxygen has been observed to inhibit tumor growth through various mechanisms.Domestic scholars have extensively reported on individual cases of hydrogen-oxygen cancer control,inferring that hydrogen-oxygen plays a role in regulating white blood cells—it is reported that elevated white blood cell levels may represent cancer cell invasion,thereby worsening the patient's condition.[5]The above clinical studies based on real patients provide relatively substantial evidence,indicating that hydrogen-oxygen may indeed become a potential method to extend the survival ability of cancer patients.
